James Phillip Bartlett, 73, of Greenville, passed away peacefully, Sunday, April 19, 2020. He was born in Asheville, NC to the late Josephine Dove and William Kenneth Bartlett.

Preceded in death by his sister, Norma Miller; and his brother, William Bartlett, he is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Carolyn Bartlett; sons, Kenneth Robert Phillip Bartlett (Sarah) and Christopher Brian Bartlett (Anna Katherine); and grandchildren: Charley, Will, Luke, and Skyler.

Phill was a consummate entrepreneur and from building restaurants to selling antiques, he tried just about everything. He had a lifelong love of fast cars and skilled driving. He was a nationally certified driving instructor for Porsche Clubs of America and enjoyed the thrill of taking new students around the track. He had a wonderful way of putting others around him at ease.

Later in life, he became a member of the International Brotherhood of Real Bearded Santa’s, and shared his love of life and laughter with countless children of all ages.
