Obituary for James Henry Horne
J. Henry Horne, 65, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020.
He was the son of the late Eldridge Horne, and Della H. Saxon.
He is survived by his loving wife Catherine Davis Horne; daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Doug (Amy) Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Jamie (Ginger) Thomasson; sibling, Nancy Milhous; grandchildren, Christian H. Thomasson, Sarah Wilson, and Catie Thomasson; niece, Melissa Milhous; special friends, Ben Blalock, and David Lilley.
James enjoyed leather working, woodworking, sharp-shooting, and guns. He will be remembered most by his devotion to family, his unlimited love and support of his grandchildren, he was a man of simple tastes with a unique sense of humor. James had a volume for life, he loved University of Tennessee Sports, Western movies and little "Beemer." He was never in judgment of others.
The family will host his Graveside Funeral on Friday, January 17, 2020 starting at 11:00am at Greenville Memorial Gardens on Augusta Road, Piedmont, SC 29673.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that any contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
