James E. Walsh, Jr., 66, of Pendleton, SC, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 5, 2023 while holding his wife's hand. He was born in Greenport, NY to the late Frances J. and James E. Walsh.

James is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Walsh; daughters: Amy M. Denis (Brian), Morgan M. Deane (Jon), Rachel A. Garrison (Rick) and Sarena M. Walsh; sons, James R. Walsh (Kristin) and Christopher Garrison (Jessica); grandchildren: Brittany, Tiffany, Ricky, Campbell, Shire, Brian, Kayley, Brianna, Jameson, Leah, James, and Brody; step-grandchildren, Andrew, Alexa, Ahna and Kyla; brother, Robert T. Walsh; and nieces and nephews: Courtney Lane, Danielle and Cailyn Walsh, and Robert and Brandon Walsh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Daniel P. Walsh; brother, Daniel S. Walsh; and sister, Linda A. Wedell.

James was a jack of all trades. In his spare time he enjoyed carpentry, motorcycles, the Mason Lodge, gardening, and traveling to the waters near Long Island. His greatest joy was his family and spending time with them. He had a witty sense of humor and always provided non-judgemental advice. James adored exotic pets and had a kind heart. He touched many lives and the memories they have of him will be dearly cherished forever.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Palmetto Mortuary, 1017 Mauldin Rd., Greenville, SC 29607. The family will receive friends and loved ones an hour prior, beginning 1:00 PM. A Celebration of James' Life will be held at a later date in Moriches, NY.
