Obituary for Janie Estelle Kelly
Janie Estelle Kelly, 77, resident of 113 Woodrow Street, Laurens, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at her home.
Born on December 6, 1944 in Tillman, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Forrest and Ella Boyles. Mrs. Kelly was a homemaker and caregiver to her youngest son, Paul Kelly, of the home. She was of the Church Of God Of Prophecy Faith.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 57 years, Billy Joe Kelly, are her children: Jerry Kelly (Nell) of Mountville, Cheryl Moore (Thomas) of Laurens, and Paul Kelly; sisters: Josie Wilcox of Hampton, Janie Brown of Lodge; grandchildren: Eric Moore (Savannah), Ashely Hammonds (Austin), Caleb Kelly, Sydney Kelly (Dale), Nicholas Kelly, and one soon to be great-grandson Lukas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Joey Kelly; and sisters: Violet Gooding, Christine Prince, Ruth Cook, and Myrtle Cook.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Redemption Baptist Church in Enoree, with Pastor Ralph Byars officiating.
