Obituary for Jo Ann Farabee
Jo Ann Werts Farabee, 76, of Greenville passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020. She was predeceased by her parents Lucile and Leroy Werts; brother, Leroy Werts, Jr.
Jo Ann is survived by her twin sister, Dr. Lucille Werts McClain (Don); nephew Doug McClain (Melissa); niece, Stacy McClain Whitmire (Tim). She was a great aunt to Matthew McClain, Patrick McClain, and Timmy Whitmire. She is also survived by a dear friend, Judith Matthews from Florence, South Carolinal
Jo Ann graduated from Greenville Senior High School and Brenau University in Gainesville, GA. in which she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. After graduation from college, she worked as a medical assistant to a prominent ophthalmologist Dr. Thomas Manchester in Atlanta, GA. Twenty-five years later she returned to Greenville to work with a prominent dermatologist Dr. Eric Baker as a medical asstistant.
Due to COVID-19, a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Upstate Lutheran Hospice at 429 North Main Street, Suite 3, Greenville, SC 29601
