Obituary for Johnnie Robert Ross
Johnnie Robert Ross, 90, of Conestee went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 13, 2020. Johnnie was born in Laurens, SC to the late Ernest Harrison and Rosa Ross. He is survived by his two daughters Linda (Ashley) Benton, Virginia (Larry) Garrett; grandchildren, Derek, Kyle, Dannette, Jennifer; great grandchildren, Joel, Blake, David, Katelyn, Brandon, Adam, Cody, Nathan, Brooke; great great grandchildren, Kinley, Hannah, Garrett, Nicholas, and Brentley.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Elsie Lee Ross; siblings, Gerald Ross, Charles Ross, Margaret Wardlaw; grandchildren, John Nathan Garrett, and Tammy Ginn Fowler.
Johnnie loved gardening, playing the guitar, and fishing. He'll be remembered for loving his grandchildren, his love of working in the garden, walking to the post office daily, riding kids around on his lawnmower, and giving kids in the neighborhood candy.
The family will receive friends Monday October 19, 2020 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at Palmetto Mortuary. The funeral service will be held at 1:30pm with the burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
