Obituary for Joseph Damiano

Joseph Vincent Damiano passed away peacefully in the arms of his wife, Tina, on Tuesday, March 14, 2023

Joe was born on August 29, 1966 in the Bronx, NY to Joseph and Anita Damiano. He was his father’s namesake, the baby of four, and affectionately referred to by his siblings as “JoJo”, or “Baby”. He had a wonderful sense of humor that he inherited from his father. Joe grew up in Merritt Island, Florida, and graduated from Merritt Island Highschool in 1984. After graduation he spent six months in Comiso, Italy with his brother, Chuck, who was in the Navy at the time. This gave him time to work on his “Concept Album”. Joe was a talented musician, played the guitar, and put together a couple of bands, named, “Weird Wayne and the Trout Farmers”, and “QHat”. He and Chuck even won first place in a talent show on Comiso Air Force Base.

In March of 1996 Joe met the love of his life, Tina Bollheimer, in Orlando, Florida. They immediately started a life together and married on September 5, 1998. Joe was devoted to his wife, their daughter, Ajhanna (25), and two sons, Arris (16), and Taylen (13). Their home was filled with love and laughter! During the last few days of his life, red cardinals appeared outside his window. This was a sign of peace, and symbolized the hope of Heaven to his family. It is believed that “When Cardinals appear, Angels are near”. Joe will live forever in our hearts!!

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Palmetto Mortuary, 1017 Mauldin Road, Greenville, SC 29607.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die”.
