Obituary for Joyce Lucille Johnson
Joyce Lucille (Lulu) Johnson, 60, of Greer, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 21st, 2019. She was the daughter of her father, James Edward Johnson, Sr., mother, Myrtie Lois Mahaffey Johnson and step-mother, Linda Hughes Johnson.
She is survived by her devoted sons, Bobby Bennett (Lisa), Howard Gimbel (Brooke), and David Gimbel (Dalal); her loving brothers and sisters; Teresa Schurtz (Jim), Denise Reed (John), Jane Andrews, John Johnson, Dawn Hayes (Tommy), Bobo Johnson, James Johnson (Evelynn), Robert, and, Danny; the apples of her eye, her grandchildren, Kelli, Dillon, Steven, Brianna, Jacob, Kaleigh, Shane, A.J., Tyler, Brandon, Grace, Kayley, Aniya, and Jordan; her significant other, Robert Custer; many nieces and nephews and a few great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in passing by her siblings, Timbo Johnson and Reba Joy Johnson; and her nephew, Anthony Stewart who was so much more than a nephew and much more like another son.
Family and friends can agree on one thing, Lulu was a perfect blend of different and special. She loved life and it showed. If Lulu was not traveling with Robert, you could likely spot her spending time with her grandchildren. She loved them more than life itself. She will be missed by those who loved and knew her.
The family will be having a celebration of her life with friends and family at 25 Broomstraw Court, Greer, 29651 on Sunday September 29, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
