Obituary for Karen Hughes
Karen M.Hughes, 72, of Simpsonville, SC., went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 7, 2020. Karen was born in Michigan to the late Wilfred (Bud) Adolf Martell and Vivian Mary Michalski Martell. She is survived by her daughter Lisa (Matthew) Abela; grandchild Olivia R Abela.
Karen had a passion for University of Michigan Football, she loved Disney World and all things Disney related, and loved to shop. Karen was also passionate about the beauty of their lake house in Gladwin, Michigan.
She'll be remembered for her love and devotion for the family, friends and America. Her love for vacationing on the gulf coast of Florida and willingness to share her vacations with both family and friends. Karen will be most remembered for her smile.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in her home town of Michigan.
