Obituary for Kerry Randall Finley
Kerry Randall Finley, 68, of Powdersville, SC, entered the arms of his savior on Thursday, July 7, 2022.
He leaves behind his dedicated loving wife of 49 years, his beloved daughter and son in love, four precious grandchildren, his sweet daughter in love, a beautiful daughter in Christ and many wonderful friends made throughout the years. The family find comfort in knowing that he entered Heaven’s gates with quite the welcoming reunion. We know that his son, Randall Brian Finley, was the first to greet him with a warm embrace, followed by his parents, Lloyd and Pearline Boggs Finley, his parents in love, Melvin and Velma Bradley, his oldest brother Jerome Finley, his brother in love Allen Bowie, countless others that has already went on to be with the Lord, and his precious grandson and namesake, Kerry Isaac Moon.
Born on February 22, 1954, Randall was a man who was known for perseverance and resilience through his life’s journey. A man who truly loved Jesus and loved his family dearly. He married his loving wife, Rose on August 24, 1973, truly beginning a lasting relationship that would carry him for the rest of his days. Randall was met with many obstacles in his health but found strength in defying the odds and overcoming through his faith in Christ Jesus. Even through 16 years of dialysis, countless hospital stays, and multiple devastating conditions, he kept pushing through to enjoy his life to the fullest. Randall had such a passion for music and played multiple instruments well, especially the guitar and bass. He even spent 20 years with his band, The Cornerstone Quartet, spreading the word of God through music. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, chess, playing video games, watching movies, politics, the Word of God, gospel/ bluegrass music, and he loved his wife’s “good ole home cooking.” He was a dedicated husband, Daddy, Paw Paw and friend, spending his free time with those he loved so dearly.
He leaves behind his wife, Rose Bradley Finley, his daughter, Tiffany Finley Moon, his son (in love), Jason Moon, daughter (in love), Amy Turner, daughter (in Christ), Paloma Kramer, his grandchildren, Jacob Moon, Elizabeth Moon, Chase Moon, Sammy Moon, his youngest brother, Roger Finley (Kellie), his nephew Cory Finley (Amanda), his dear band mates Billy and Karen Holder, Hal and Janice Merck, Sid (Renee) Oglesby, and countless wonderful friends in the health community that compassionately served him throughout the years, which helped him to continue his fight.
