Obituary for Luz Raquel Rivera
Luz R. Rivera, 94, widow of Fernando Rivera-Acevedo, of Greenville, SC fell asleep in death on September 29, 2022.
Luz enjoyed shopping, eating, dancing, desserts and public ministry. She will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, sweetness and desire to eat cake.
Luz is survived by her daughters, Lillian Yancy and her husband Harold; grandchildren, Emily Alfonso and her husband Jeffrey, Elliot Ortiz and Raymond Ortiz and his wife Neddy; great grandchildren, Lilyana ALfonso and Raquel Alfonso; special friends Carmen Ramirez, GLadys Carabello, Virginia Azurin, Rode Hernandez, Etna Martines and Blanca Arguello de Menendez.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Fernando Rivera-Rivera and her mother Ramona Claudio Nicholas and special friend Alvaro Herrera, Jr.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 1400 Old Spartanburg Road Greer, SC.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Taylors Spanish Christian Congregation of Jahovah’s Witnesses.
