Obituary for Marc Cameron
Marc Steven Cameron, age 46, resident of Belton, SC, passed into the loving arms of the Lord on Thursday, January 26, 2023.
He is survived by his son, Eric Marc Cameron; daughter, Megan Rose Cameron; sister, Suzanne Hood; and parents, Steven and Cheryl Cameron, two grandmothers, twelve cousins, and ten aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, C. Lloyd Mooney and John A. Cameron,
Born March 14, 1976 in Port Huron, Michigan, he was diagnosed at age 9 with an inoperable brain stem tumor. After miraculously being healed by age 16, he enjoyed growing up in Michigan until he came to South Carolina to attend Bob Jones University in 1995. As a result, he spent the rest of his adult life in South Carolina until the Lord took him Home.
Marc loved his children, his sister and his relatives ... although many of the relatives were far away. He loved his cats, cooking, and doing IT work for both his job and his family and friends. His co-workers recognized his intellect and valuable technological insights. He desired to serve the Lord with what gifts he had, especially in music. He enjoyed singing and playing his euphonium in church. He was a very kind, patient, and compassionate young man. He struggled with many challenges throughout his life, right up to the end, but never became bitter. He loved the Lord and trusted in Him for his salvation from sin.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Palmetto Mortuary, 1017 Mauldin Rd., Greenville, SC 29607. Visitation will be held one hour prior, beginning 2:00 PM. Graveside services will follow at a later date.
