Obituary for Margie Brown Arnold
Margie Brown Arnold, 85, of Greenville, SC passed into the presence of her Savior on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. She was born in Hardy, MS to the late Homer Howard and Eva Caldwell Brown.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Eugene Franklin Arnold.
She is survived by her children, Debbie Patterson (Mike), Mary Ann Thomason (Rodney), Tim Arnold, and Shawn MacDonald (Trey). She is also survived by her sister, Gwen Thomason (Billy), who has faithfully helped to care for her in her last few months. Margie was blessed with ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Margie loved cooking for and gathering with her large extended family. She also loved going to church, gardening, watching Clemson football, and caring for her beloved pets. But Margie loved Jesus most of all, and is now enjoying being face to face with Him.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Renae Madden for her exceptional care of Margie, and to Palladium Hospice and Palliative Care for their compassionate medical care.
There will be a private family burial. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 25 at 2:00 PM at Hope Chapel of Greenville, 1106 SC-14, Greer, SC 29650.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hope Chapel Mission Fund in Margie’s memory.
