Obituary for Marie Russell Hunt
Marie Russell Hunt, 93, of Easley, SC was called home by Jesus Thursday, July 14, 2022. She was born in Canton, NC to the late Alice Cline and James Patrick Russell.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Diane Waddell; son, Stephen Hunt (Schianne); grandchildren: Stephanie Amanda Odom (Travis) and Christopher Lee Waddell; great-grandchildren: Stephen Hunt II, Tiffany Marie Odom, and Dustin Waddell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Franklin Hunt, Jr.; sisters, Evelyn Knight and Lillian Hansell; and brothers, Robert, James, and Earl Russell.
Maire enjoyed shopping and crafting ceramics. She made the best chocolate pies and enjoyed gifting family and friends with canned tomatoes and hot peppers. Marie loved her savior and attended Victory Baptist Church in Powdersville when she was able, and loved Pastor Greg Philiips' visits and listening to his sermons. Above all, she loved her family and will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, July 18, 2022 at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Greenville, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Victory Baptist Church, 1132 Old Powdersville, Rd., Powdersville, SC 29642.
