It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the sudden passing of our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Martha Yolanda Wehrly, on September 24th, 2020, at the age of 74 years, as she was surrounded and comforted by her family.
Martha will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her 3 children; Debra Angela Wehrly, John Michael Wehrly and Barbara Lynn Harvey (Jimmy) as well as 2 grandchildren; Chloe and Evan Harvey. She is survived by 10 brothers and sisters; Jose Gonzales, Maria Hernandez, Manuel Gonzales, Lupe Cisneros, Juan Gonzales, Patricia Cisneros, Daniel Garcia, Alexandro Rico, Theresa Vigil and Kathleen Machado.
Martha was preceded in death by her mother and father, Marina Martinez Gonzales and Jose Salazar Gonzales, her daughter Darlene Wehrly, and brother Mario Rico.
Born in Arizona, living in California most her life and then retiring to South Carolina, Martha was a devout Catholic and Grandmother. She loved to read, paint, shop, cook, garden and was a member of her church prayer group. She loved life, her family and friends. She was generous with her time and talents as well as always loving and compassionate. She always sought to spend time with her children, and enjoyed arts and adventures with her grandkids.
A Funeral Mass will be held on October, 16th, 10:30am, at Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Greenville, SC. We will ensure that any friends and family members unable to attend in person will be able participate via a stream.
