Obituary for Mary Joyce Carnes
Mary Joyce Carnes passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020 following a 19 month long battle with cancer.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, Charles; son, Chuck Carnes (Tracey); grandchildren, Gabriel, Malachi and Jonah; brother, Charles Marion Moore (Sandra); niece, Anna Moore Henderson (Jason; son, Grant) as well as numerous relatives and friends.
She was born in Greenville, South Carolina on October 1, 1938. She was predeceased by her parents Charles George Moore and Jewell Mae Robertson.
She retired after working for many years at Bi-Lo Corporation in Mauldin, SC. She was a faithful member of Earle Street Baptist Church where she provided countless hours of service to her church. She enjoyed attending the Goldenelles, volunteering with the sanctuary decorating committee, serving hot dogs at the fall festival and was always ready to volunteer when needed.
