Mary Jane Chavis, 66, of Central, SC went to be with the Lord on January 10th, 2020. She was born in Seneca, SC to the late Horace Clifton McCrackin Sr and Nina AddyLou Elsie Blackwell McCrackin. Mary is survived by her son Joey Sanford (Amy); daughters Melissa Sanford Smith (Bryan), Angela Chavis; siblings Callie McCrackin, Nancy Miles (Jimmy), Randall McCrackin (Camilla), Horace "Skeeter" McCrackin (Pat); grandchildren, Jaimie Smith Brunner (Tim), Jason Smith, Joseph Sanford (Taylor), Hunter Sanford, and Rylee Medlin; great grandchildren, Kira Baculio- Smith, Kassi Baculio - Smith, Blakely Smith, Greyson Brunner, Nora Brunner and Raven Sanford; special family friend Annette Carter.

In addition to her parents, she preceded in death by her loving husband Curtis Haskell Chavis; son Curtis "Peanut" Chavis, daughter Darlene Chavis Medlin, siblings Carly McCrackin, and Jack Blackwell; her dear friend Jim Kelsey.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved family gatherings, playing cards, country music, Elvis Pressley. She loved going out to eat and having her favorite food which was fish. She was a member of Rice's Creek Baptist Church in Liberty where she saved and baptized.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm at Coneross Church of God, 1577 Hefner Road,, Walhalla, SC 29691. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Hospice of the Foothills Foundation, Seneca, SC 29678.
