Mildred B. Scott, 82, of Athens Georgia, passed away peacefully surrounded with love and support by her side on January 27, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Bernice Butler.

She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Scott Smith and Valerie Scott Moses; granddaughter, Denise Scott; great-granddoggy, Jax; numerous cousins, family members and wonderful friends.

Mildred drove for Athens Transit for a number of years before retiring. She loved to attend church, talking, meeting new people because no one was ever a stranger in her eyes. She also loved sitting inside her favorite Hardee's or McDonald's with a cup of coffee in one hand and a newspaper in the other each mornings. Mildred's favorite hobbies were sewing and going to thrift stores.

In honoring Mildred's wishes there will be no funeral services. Celebrate her life by donating to the American Heart Association @ heart.org or Alzheimer's Foundation of America @ alzfdn.org in her name. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the hospice caretakers from Palladium Hospice and Palliative Care, especially Donna and Debra.
