Obituary for Nancy Edwards Thomason (Edwards)
Nancy Edwards Thomason, 96, widow of the late Dr. Eugene A. Thomason, was a native of Fountain Inn, SC. Daughter of the late Ralph Richard Edwards and Nancy Usher Edwards.
Nancy graduated from Fountain Inn High School and attended Furman University. She retired from Legal Services Agency after 30 years of employment. She was a former member of the Fountain Inn Presbyterian Church and member of the First Presbyterian Church in Greenville. She was also a former member of the Fountain Inn Music Club and the Greenville County Medical Auxiliary.
Nancy is survived by her son, Ralph A. Thomason of Greenville; grandchildren, Eugene A. Thomason (Arch) and wife Sara, and granddaughter-in-law, Seceli Barrett. Great grandchildren, Lucas A. Thomason, Zachary I. Thomason (Ike), Rivers T. Barrett, Stone R. Barrett; sister, Martha E. West and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph R.Edwards, Jr. (Rich); sister, Mary E. Smith and grandson, Robert T. Barrett (Bo).
The family will hold a private ceremony in her honor at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
