Obituary

Obituary for Peggy

Nannie "Peggy" Moody Hamby 93, of Greenville, widow of John Hamby, passed away January 22, 2020. She was born in Greenville, SC to the late Fred Moody and Thelma Ashmore Moody. She was a member of City View First Baptist Church. Peggy taught preschool Sunday School.

Peggy is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Enlow (Carl) of Greenville and Connie Hamby of Greenville; grandson, Johnny Enlow (her pride and joy); and special neices and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday at 11am at City View First Baptist Church, with a service at noon. The burial will follow at Reedy River Baptist Church in Travelers Rest.

The family would like to thank Open Arm Hospice for all their support.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to City View First Baptist Church.

It is hard to put into words that we are all sad, but happy that we know Aunt Peg is in Heaven. wish I could be there with the family but we know that isn't possible, but I am there in Spirit. Draw closer to each other, as our family is getting smaller, and draw closer to our Lord and Savior. I love all of you and know that God is in control and He loves us, and know He knows our hearts. We are so saddened to hear of Peggy’s passing. I know that beautiful lady is in heaven and enjoying all the love and happiness she can handle! She was an inspiration to anyone who knew her! We have all come to love Ms. Peggy!❤️ She will have many jewels in her crown! Praying for the family during this time of grief.
