Obituary for Pernell Clark
Pernell Clark, 78, of Piedmont, SC, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 21, 2022. She was born in Fair Play, SC to the late Maybelle Fuller and William Alonzo Chastain.
Pernell is survived by her sons: Eddie Clark (Ruby), Gary Clark, and Deano Clark (Missy); granddaughter and primary caregiver, Amanda (Chris); other grandchildren: Kenny, Ashley, Chris (Melissa), Samantha, Austin, and Savannah; great-grandchildren: Angel, Jacob, Emma, Lucas, Conner, Christian, Hunter, Logan, Bentley, and Miles; twin sister, Isabell Glenn; brother, George "Billy" Chastain (Janet); and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Lewis Clark; sisters, Frances Branyon and Alton Fullbright; brother, Charles Chastain; and daughter-in-law, Angela Clark.
Pernell was a prayer warrior who enjoyed reading books - especially her Bible. She also enjoyed drinking coffee, and watching "Days of Our Lives." Pernell will be remembered for her strength, her patience, her sweet and loving spirit, and the love she had for her family.
The family extends their sincere appreciation to the staff of Piedmont Post Acute for the tremendous care they showed Pernell; and a very special thank you to Kathy.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Palmetto Mortuary, 1017 Mauldin Rd., Greenville, SC 29607. The family will receive friends and loved ones an hour prior, beginning 11:00 AM. Following the services, the family will be at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
