Obituary for Peter Drawdy

Peter Drawdy, 63, of Greenville, SC passed away at his home of natural causes on June 18th, 2020. Born July 10, 1956 in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late John Wesley Drawdy, Sr. and Nancy Jenness McJunkin of Walhalla, S.C.

Pete was a graduate of AC Flora High School and worked as an EMT in Columbia, SC before moving to Colorado to work as an EMT at Vail Valley Medical Center. He took courses in hospital management at Colorado Mountain College and Colorado State University. After his wife’s death, he moved to Greenville, SC to work at his brother’s business, “A Better Connection Cellular”, and later became employed with Verizon Wireless, where he worked as a Regional Technical Support Manager in Greensboro, NC and currently in Technical Support for Verizon Wireless in Greenville. Pete took pride in providing excellent customer service and earned incentive awards for his dedication.

In addition to his father, Pete was predeceased by his wife, Donna Duncan Habinck, of Pueblo, Colorado. Pete is survived by his mother, Nancy, his brother, John Wesley Drawdy Jr. (Sara Lee), sisters Doireann O'Draeda, Erin Phillips (Robert), Aleta Drawdy, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pete was an aficionado of classic muscle cars; especially Pontiac GTO's and Trans Ams. He will be remembered fondly by all his family and friends for having a big, BIG heart and his hearty laughter. Pete was a friend of all good people and would give those in need the shirt off his back. Really.
