Obituary for Ray Eugene Honeycutt
Ray Eugene Honeycutt, 88, resident of Mauldin, South Carolina, went to be with The Lord on Monday, September 12, 2022. He was born in Rowan Co., NC to the late Collie and Ethel Honeycutt.
He is survived by his sons, Randy Honeycutt, and Phillip Honeycutt; daughter, Terri Burgess; grandchildren: Randy Honeycutt, Brittany Ambrose, April Burgess, Jeremy Burgess (Rianna), and Lauren Burgess; great-grandchildren: Zephyr, Ezekiel, Dusty, Halley, Naomi Rae, Memphis, and Adaline. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Thelma Deal Honeycutt; and brother, Deward Honeycutt.
Ray served as a Special Operations Sargent in the United States Marine Corps and was a Korean War veteran. After his time in the military, he worked and later retired from Crescent Supply Co. He loved birds, fishing, boating, golf, and exploring the world.
He will be remembered for his warm smile, infectious laugh, immeasurable kindness, and endless stories. His everlasting love for his family will forever be remembered and cherished.
