Obituary for Richard Raburn
Richard “Rick” Wayne Raburn, 68, departed this earth on Tuesday, March 7, 2023.
Rick is survived by his wife Charlotte of 40 years and daughter Caroline (David Means) of Charleston, SC. He was the son of the late Lonnie Leroy Raburn and Myrtle Beasley Raburn.
Rick was born and spent his early years in Williston, SC before attending Clemson University. He was a member of Chi Psi fraternity and graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1977. During his career, he received several US patents for healthcare devices and volunteered with the Meyers Center. Rick enjoyed sailing, attending Clemson football games with his family, and was an avid woodworker.
Family will be receiving friends at the family home on Friday, March 10th from 2-6pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research or to Clemson University.
