Obituary for Robert Edward Allen
Robert Edward "Bob" Allen, 74, of Rochester, NY and Greensboro, NC, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020.
A genuinely kind and caring man, he enjoyed golf, anything and everything related to the UNC Tar Heels, the Yankees, and the Buffalo Bills. Bob was employed by Gilbarco as a Quality Control Engineer for 30 years. He always had a smile on his face and could light up a room with his unforgettable Donald Duck impersonation. Bob touched many lives and leaves behind countless fond memories. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lyn Allen; daughters, Kathryn Allen Pavia and Meghan Allen Ivey; sister, Mary Russo; brothers, Richard Allen and John Allen; and grandchildren: Evan Ivey, and Colin and Eli Pavia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Robert's name to Interim Care Hospice, 16 Hyland Rd., Greenville, SC 29615; or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
