Roger Simmons, Simpsonville, SC, son of Shirley Simmons and the late Robert J. Simmons, died October 14, 2019. He was born December 17, 1955 in Greenville, South Carolina. He was raised in Simpsonville. Roger graduated from Hillcrest High School and attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia, and then Greenville Technical College focusing on computers. He worked for the Simpsonville Cotton Mill and General Electric. Roger loved and played sports, including Little League Baseball and Basketball. He also loved playing chess. Roger was most proud he was recently Baptized during one of his hospitalizations. Roger will be missed deeply by his mother, Shirley, and dog, Buddy. Graveside service will be held at Graceland East Cemetery, October 24, 2019 at 11:00 am.
