Obituary for Roy Ragsdale
Roy Ragsdale, 99, of Greenville, South Carolina, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 27th, 2020. Roy was born in Pelzer, SC to the late Dan and Tempie Ragsdale.
Roy has been reunited with his wife of 73 years, Elaine, in their heavenly home. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Roy proudly served his country as an aircraft electrician in the Air Force during WWII. He retired from CF Sauer in Mauldin, SC. He was a loyal member of Laurens Road Methodist Church and loved his church family. Roy enjoyed spending time with his family and serving others. He will be greatly missed!
He is survived by his son, David Brent Ragsdale (Ann); daughters, Angie Roy McDade (Victor) and Dina Kay Ragsdale; grandchildren, Ashely Martindale, Melissa Meredith (Braelen), Mary Roach (Jeremy), James McDade (Allie); great grandchildren, Carter Martindale, Chloe Martindale, Miles Meredith, Simon Roach, and Lillian Roach.
Roy was preceded in death by his wife Elaine Barnett Ragsdale and brother Dan Ragsdale.
The family will hold a private celebration of life.
