Samuel Q. Paige, 83, of Pelzer, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, March 9th, 2020. He was the son of of the late Harry and Effie Paige .

He is survived by his wife Ido C. Paige; son, James "Pete" Cannon (Gail); daughters, Teresa Hall, Tammy C. Baker (Derek), and Angie C. Sam was very proud of his 22 years of service in the US Army(Signal Corp). He retired as Sergeant First Class. Sam acquired a love for cooking from preparing meals for other soldiers. He served in the Vietnam War, was stationed in Germany for many years and also served in Korea for a short period.

After retiring from the Army, Sam operated his own restaurant where he sold his famous biscuits and bag lunches six days a week for many years. From there he decided to pursue a new career. He taught commercial food management skills at churches, I-Hop, McDonald's, and many other restaurants. He taught them how to order supplies, prepare food, take orders, and serve food, "from A to Z", as he would say.

Sam enjoyed bowling, playing poker with friends and family and watching game shows. He will be remembered for living life to the fullest and always laughing. Sam had a funny story or joke every time he saw you.

The family will have a Graveside service with Military Honors at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery, Friday March 20, 2020 at 3:00 pm, 140 Inway Dr, Anderson, SC 29621 . Place of Internment will be at the same location.
