Sandra Walker Davis, 72, of Greenville, SC, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 24, 2020.
She is survived in life by her son, Christopher Minor; her daughter-in-law Mariellen Bessent-Minor; and her most beloved grandchildren, Maricatherine Minor and Luke Minor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luke and Mildred Walker, and her beloved grandparents “Hop” and “Hoppie” Hopkins.
Sandra was born and raised in Greenwood, SC, where she graduated from Greenwood High School. She went on to attend nursing school at Clemson University. Not long after finishing college, she found her calling in life as a Public Health Nurse with DHEC in Abbeville, SC. Throughout her career, she impacted the lives of many, caring for the children and families of her community. She fought to make the world a better and healthier place and made some life-long friends along the way.
Friends and family remember Sandra as a dedicated Clemson Alumnae and fan. On any given Saturday in the fall, she could almost always be found in the stands at Clemson, cheering on her Tigers. One of the things she enjoyed most in life was walking around Clemson, pointing out how the campus had changed over the years.
A celebration of life is planned to be held in February. The time, date, and location are to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clemson Cooper Library Friends Fund in her honor.
