Obituary for Shirley Wilson Cole (Wilson)
Shirley W. Cole, 77, of Liberty, SC, went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, May 19, 2020., She was born in Greenville, SC to the late Inez and Hugh Wilson May 5, 1943.
Shirley was a member of Bessie Road Baptist Church. Known as "Mema" to everyone, she loved her family above all and will be greatly missed.
Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Mart Leon Cole; and her brother, Sammy Wilson. She is survived by her daughters, Tina Kirby of the home, and Tamra Tucker (Jeff) of Laurens; son, Tony Cole (Sandra) of Piedmont; grandchildren: Chance Ashley (Eddie), Holly Roberts (Chris), Sean Cole (Amber), Trista Ashley (Jamie), Matthew Barr, Hannah Kirby, Josh Kirby, Darrean Cole, and Melissa Porter (Cody); great-grandchildren: Leona, Maddie, Livia, Lillie, Dylan, Aubrianna, Eli, Elizabeth, Emma, Adalyn, Elle, Caden, and KayLynn; and siblings: Gladys West, Charmian Burgess, Carmen Burton, Sharon Robinson, and Robert Wilson.
A graveside funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, May 22, 2020 at Greenville Memorial Gardens, 7784 Augusta Rd., Piedmont, SC 29673; Pastor Robert Griswold to officiate. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to Bessie Road Baptist Church, 575 Bessie Rd., Piedmont, SC 29673, www.bessieroadbaptistchurch.org; or the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
