Obituary for Stephen Michael Waltenburg

Stephen M Waltenburg, 70, resident of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away on March 7, 2022.
He is survived by his wife: Joanne Freas Waltenburg; sons: Robert Waltenburg, Joshua Waltenburg (Nikki), Benjamin Waltenburg; daughters: Rebekah Hauck (William), Jessica Shuman (Sean), Sharon March (Drew); siblings: LeAnn Ryan, Debby Ernst, Brenda Johnston, Suzanne Baysinger, Denise Waltenburg, Lisa Kirshbaum, Heidi Desmarais; grandchildren: Sam Hauck, Lily Hauck, Philip Hauck, Rose March, Magnolia March, Hudson Waltenburg; special friends: Bob and Carolyn Chivers, Ken Gustafson, Bruce and Diane, Randy and Rosario.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Clyde W. Waltenburg and Betty Davidowsky Noyes, and sister: Dana Fox.
Steve was interested in flying planes, since he was in the Navy working around them. He finished an aircraft maintenance associates degree at Greenville Technical College and was able to work in that field for a while. Steve was fond of animals! Besides the family pets, he tried raising a possum and some baby robins. He enjoyed reading and studying, especially the Bible.
Steve will be remembered working hard to provide for for his family. He drove a semi for 25 years, trying to get home as often as he could. He was a man of many interests, many sisters, and many kids. He enjoyed playing with his kids, and later on, his grandchildren.
Before health issues interfered, Steve Began studying the Bible even back to some of the Greek and Hebrew interpretations that seemed to make some life changing affects. Although the family didn't attend regular church services, they fellowshipped with two home Bible studies.

A memorial service will be held on May 1, 2022 at the Greenville Marriot Hotel on the Parkway from 3:00-5:00PM
