Obituary for Susan Hopkins Jones (Hopkins)
Susan Hopkins Jones, 81, of Greenville, SC passed away Monday, August 10, 2020 peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Greenville to her late parents Cleo Hopkins and Bonnie Phillips Hopkins.
Susan is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Charles Buck Jones Sr; son, Charles Buck Jones Jr.; daughters, Nancy Jones Campbell, Janice Jones Cothran; siblings, Houston Hopkins, Georgia "Penny" Mullinax, Stanley Hopkins; Grandchildren, Melissa Jennings, Madison Campbell, Jordan Campbell, Sophia Jones, Gabbi Jones, Izzi Jones, Charles Jones III; great grand children, Kayla Santora, Courtney Page, Aubery Hutsell; great great grand children, and Grayson Santora.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings, Helen Hopkins Batson, Robert "Bobby" Hopkins; grandchildren, Jonathan Wilson, and Solomon Jones.
She loved cooking, was an amazing cook that won first place for her recipe. Her family was the most important part of her life. Susan enjoyed working at Bucombe Street Methodist Church, St. Francis Hospital and Meal on Wheels; after obtaining her degree in food service management.
The family would like to thank Alice and Alisha from Interim Hospice for their love and care of mom during her illness.
No memorial events are scheduled at this time due to the current COVID 19 crisis.
