Obituary for Suzanne Mary Clement
Suzanne Mary (Wallace) Clement went home to be held in the loving arms of Jesus on July 10, 2022. She was surrounded by many of her loved ones. Suzanne was a native of Erie, PA but has resided in Greenville, SC for the second half of her life.
Suzanne was the daughter of the late Norma and Matthew Wallace of Erie, PA. She was born on May 13, 1947 and attended Sacred Heart School before graduating from St. Benedict Academy in 1965.
Throughout her life she had various means of employment but none of them compare to her work with people who required assistance in their day to day living. She truly reveled in supporting others and delighted in providing them assistance which made them feel comfortable and genuinely cared for. This was her gift.
Suzanne could be silly, sometimes serious, could be a good study, and enjoyed crafts, cooking and puzzles. She was a cuddly…warm and fuzzy sweet woman. She loved the classics and could recite lines from movies that either struck her funny bone or spoke to who she was and what she valued. Most of all, she was committed to Christ and spent her life spreading His Word.
A person’s legacy is oftentimes realized when they are gone. What have they done? What have they contributed? After Suzanne’s passing, there have been countless people who have reached out to tell the family just how special she was to them. They described her as a kind and thoughtful friend. She was someone who they enjoyed being around. These compliments speak to the person that she was and the loss that will be felt in the days to come.
Suzanne was the wife of the late, Frank Clement. She grew up with siblings, Robert Wallace (Natasha) and Mary Wallace. She was mother to Lisa Brown (James), Shawn McGuire (Jeff Wright), Mary Lee McGuire (Rabih Youness) and Leslie Warner (Ken); Grandma Suzie to Dennis Tong (Brittany), Julia McCollum (Robert), and Nicholas Tobin; and Great-Grandmother to Michael and Aria.
The family is holding a Celebration of Life gathering in Erie, PA 12:00 PM Sunday, July 17, 2022 at the home of Robert Wallace. There will be another celebration with her SC family in Greenville on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Suzanne’s home.
