Mr. Timothy Lamar Boyd was born in Albany, Georgia on September 22, 1965, to the late Mr. R.D Boyd Sr. and Ida Mae Boyd. He graduated from Largo High School in Largo, Florida. After, graduation, he joined the United States Navy and served ten years. Timothy left a well known impression where ever he went. He did a lot of traveling throughout his lifetime.

His sons, Tajh Boyd, and T.J. Boyd were into sports, therefore it took a lot of traveling, as well. Those boys were his life! He loved watching the Tigers play on Saturday! Tim loved his grandchildren to pieces and one of his favorite times of the year with them was Christmas.

Timothy is preceded in death by his mother Ida Mae Boyd and father R.D. Boyd Sr.; brothers, Bennie Boyd ( Jeannie ) and Johnny Roseman; sister, Barbara Boyd Buchannon.

He leaves to mourn his memories; wife Carla Boyd; sons, Tajh Boyd and Timothy Boyd Jr.; step-daughter, Sakena Scales; one brother, R.D. Boyd Jr. (Geraldine) of Atlanta, Ga., four sisters, Arrie Tift (Jerry) of Albany, Ga., Dorothy Anderson, Betty Newton, and Patricia Tinson of Albany, Ga.; grandchildren, Lynnay, Yannyl, and Ricky Jr.; along with a host of friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Special friends Demetrius Britt, Shane Moore, Chris Rowland, Tim Owens, and Dave Altman.

A visitation from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm will be held prior to the service on December 10, 2020. Due to covid restrictions a Private Memorial Service will be held December 10, 2020 at 3:00 pm at The Palmetto Mortuary.
