Obituary for Tony Howard Rash
Tony Howard Rash, 81, of Marietta, SC, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 6, 2022. Born January 15, 1941 in Statesville, NC he was a son of the late Clyde and Willard Rash.
Tony served in the United States Army Reserves and graduated from Southern Wesleyan University with a bachelors degree. He worked for Nabisco for 31 years before retiring. Later in retirement, he volunteered at Mill Creek RV Park & Vacation Rentals. He loved his quiet time with God. In fact, he read the entire Bible each year for 20 years. He also enjoyed camping, living in the mountains, doing crossword puzzles, and cheering for the Clemson Tigers.
Tony is survived by his wife of 55 years, Doris Rash; daughters, Amanda (Anthony) Murphy of Simpsonville, SC and Amber (Nate) Jensen of Marietta, SC; three grandsons and three bonus grandchildren; six bonus great-grandchildren; and brother, Wayne (Lucy) Rash of Statesville, NC.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, May 22, 2022 in the chapel of Brookwood Church, 580 Brookwood Point Pl, Simpsonville, SC 29681. Visitation will follow.
