Obituary for Vicki Truett Johnson
Vicki Truett Johnson, 68, wife of Jerry Glenn Johnson, of Simpsonville went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2021. Born in Spartanburg she was the daughter of Colleen Jones Truett and the late Marion F. Truett.
Mrs. Johnson was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord and attended Edwards Road Baptist Church. She obtained a Masters degree from Furman University and she retired from Greenville County School District where she was an elementary teacher for 30 years. She enjoyed cross stitching, puzzling, reading and cooking
Mrs. Johnson was loved by many for her gentle spirit and beautiful soul. Vicki was one of the kindest people you could have ever met. Vicki loved to laugh and always had a smile on her face. She was a loving and caring person, devoted mother and friend, always thinking of others first. She opened her heart and her home to many people over the years and she will be sorely missed.
In addition to her husband, Vicki is survived by her daughter, Katie A. Johnson; granddaughter, JoAnna E. Davis; sister, Mitzi Bagwell(Steve);Two nieces, Shauna Marckley(Scott) and Destini Bagwell; two nephews, Stevie Bagwell and Rusty Starkey(Mandy) and many other family and friends.
Vicki was preceded in death by her beloved son, Glenn M. Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 14, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Palmetto Mortuary 1017 Mauldin Rd. Greenville, SC 29607. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Graceland East Memorial Park Chapel 2206 Woodruff Rd. Simpsonville, SC 29681.
