Obituary for Virgil Edward Hinkle
Virgil Edward Hinkle, 70, of Greer, SC, passed away peacefully Monday, July 25, 2022. He was born in Brevard, NC to the late Mildred Banther and Charles E. Hinkle.
Virgil is survived by his son, Richard Hinkle (Johanna); daughters, Misty Treadway (Tim) and Melanie Hinkle; grandchildren: Mike Brame (Krystal Sanchez), Caroline Hinkle, Emily and Alex Treadway, Lizzie Holcombe, and Clayton Walters; great-grandchildren, Myles and Leo Brame; and sister, Marie Massey (Henry). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Margaret Hinkle.
Virgil enjoyed a a successful career as the owner of a construction company. In his free time, he enjoyed working on cars, fishing, hunting, camping, and most of all spending time with his grandkids. Virgil was a patient soul and could always be counted on to be there when somebody was in need.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 29, 2022 in the mausoleum chapel at Graceland East Memorial Park, 2206 Woodruff Rd., Simpsonville, SC 29681. The family will receive friends and loved ones an hour prior, beginning 10:00 AM.
